DETAILED PLANS / TOURISM PROJECTS
PLURAL has recently finished a project of the Detailed Plans of Quinta da Ferraria (in cooperation with Tall & Taller), in the municipality of Rio Maior, of Estrada Atlântica/Foz do Arelho, in the municipality of Caldas da Rainha, and of the Quinta da Puceteira, in the municipality of Alenquer.
Although these plans are similar and focused on the development of touristic projects, they differ in some aspects, such as the quality of land they are built on, the underlying programs, as well as land distribution and ownership management and expectations of the different public entities.
Detailed Plan of Quinta da Ferraria (published by Declaração n.º 143/2011, in Diário da República n.º 105, 2ª Série, de 2011-05-31, Parte H)
It is projected on an area of 94,5 ha, composed by a set of existing buildings, a deactivated pedagogical farm, and a green landscape with a valley and hills covered with pine trees.
The project, which expects a maximum number of 1180 touristic beds, is located at the original core of the farm and will be transformed into a Hotel Establishment and a centre for events/conferences, and a set of areas destined for 5 villages and 1 core of touristic apartments, equipments and green areas associated to them. Highlighted through the equipments are the creation of a Centre of Investigation and Development, and a Sports Centre.
The Plan expects that all development projects obtain the requirements for a touristic classification of a minimum of 4 stars.
In this touristic development project, the activities of sports and agriculture are emphasised in the existing Farm, due to the lowland of the river Maior overlooking the slopes.
Detailed Plan of Estrada Atlântica/Foz do Arelho (published by Aviso n.º 11974/2011, in Diário da República n.º106, 2ª Série, de 2011-06-01, Parte H).
The Plan lies over an area located in the north of Foz do Arelho, next to the Atlântica street, with 274,8 ha, where the land is dominated by a great deal of agricultural activity, some unproductive land, and also areas of arboreals and tall weeds.
The proposition of the Detailed Plan, which estimates a maximum number of 4370 touristic beds, gives life to a constitution of a Touristic Resort with a Hotel Establishment and a Congress Centre, SPA, 6 touristic villages, 3 core touristic apartments, a golf course with 18 holes (with the possibility of expansion), and a number of other areas and green spaces, highlighting the space of "the sea museum".
The Plan expects the Hotel Establishment to meet the requirements for a classification of 5 stars, while the other development projects meet the requirement of a minimum of 4 stars.
This touristic project continues to grow, thanks to the international recognition of the golf course, as well as the proximity to the sea and beach.
Detailed Plan of Quinta da Puceteira (published by Edital n.º 640/2011, in Diário da República n.º 126, 2ª Série, de 2011-07-04, Parte H).
The area of intervention is around 128,6 hectares and is located in the West Region (Região Oeste), Northern extreme in the municipal of Alenquer, next to the boundary of the municipal of Cadaval. It neighbours the area of Paisagem Protegida da Serra de Montejunto and the Sítio da Rede Natura 2000.
The project defined for the Quinta da Puceteira is based on the creation of a Conjunto Turístico that consists of a Hotel Establishment, 3 touristic villages, a golf course of 18 holes with additional equipment, including sports, recreation and leisure equipments necessary for the implementation of the package and to the requirements of the villages.
The Plan expects that all developmet project meet the requirements for a touristic classification of a minimum of 4 stars.
This touristic development project continues to develop, thanks to the 18-hole golf course which surrounds itself with the natural rare beauty of the protected area of Serra de Montejunto.

1st REVISION OF MUNICIPAL MASTER PLAN OF PENEDONO
On the 6th May 2011, it was published the Regulamento n.º 286/2011, em Diário da República, n.º 88, 2ª Série, Parte H, highlighting another plan done by PLURAL that was approved: the 1st revision of the Municipal Master Plan (PDM) of the council of Penedono.
1st REVISION OF MUNICIPAL MASTER PLAN OF BRAGANÇA
In 18 June 2010, the Aviso n.º 12248-A/2010, in Diário da República, 2ª Série, n.º 117, 1º Suplemento, Parte H, was published, highlighting the approval of another plan elaborated by PLURAL: the 1st revision of the Municipal Masterplan for the council of Bragança.

DETAILED PLAN OF TAPADA DO TELHEIRO, IN PONTE DE SOR
Another Plan was carried out by PLURAL and approved by the public: the Detailed Plan of Tapada do Telheiro, in the city of Ponte de Sor.
This Plan is projected over a possible urban area of 24 hectares, situated in the center of the city of Ponte de Sor, in Alentejo. The proposed plan is a habitational area, with the implementation of a Green Park, Public Equipments, and around 560 residential buildings. The street Mouzinho de Albuquerque has a number of historically important set of buildings, where the revival of these are expected in the City Center.
The plan was published in Diário da República, 2ª Série, n.º 113, on the 14th of June, under the Aviso n.º 11783/2010.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Upon completion of the second cycle of certification by the Quality Management System of PLURAL, a third cycle was initiated, after the second renovation process by EIC during the last month of May.
PLURAL is proud of the fact that the result of this outcome is positive in respecting the quality guidelines and informs its clients / potential clients / and others, about once again keeping the certification of its SGC, taking the opportunity to highlight a part of the respective report:
“The editor team considers that the quality management fulfills the requirements established by NP EN ISO 9001:2008. There were no faults detected or susceptible situations that put in cause the validity of the agreement.
The strengths highlighted are the maturity of the collaboratores in relation to the technical activity of the company, as well as the implementation of PLURAL in the field of work.”

HOUSE OF ARTS AND CULTURE OF TEJO
In May 30th 2006, the House of Arts and Culture of Tejo, in Vila Velha de Rodão was launched by the President of the Republic, Prof. Dr. Aníbal Cavaco Silva. This facility, as a project by PLURAL for the Municipal Council of Vila Velha de Rodão, combines a multiple-use auditorium of 220 seats, exposition rooms, outside bar and other services. The building is designed to have a modest and modern representation, paying tribute to its magnificent panoramic view to the River Tejo.

NEW RAILWAY STATION OF LAGOS
On the 9th of August 2006, the passenger building New Railway Station of Lagos came into operation, as a Project by PLURAL to Invesfer, S.A. The new building provides better conditions of utilisation. In its exterior, it has an interface zone, an esplanade and commercial spaces. The building which used to be the old train station is at the moment deactivated. It will be converted into a cultural sight, abiding by the frameworks of the Requalification Project of the Zona Ribeirinha de Lagos, also conducted by PLURAL, through an agreement between Invesfer, the Municipal Council of Lagos, the Port and Maritime Transport Institute, and the Algarve Regional Development and Co-ordination Commission.

MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM AND MUSEUM IN VILA NOVA DE PAIVA
On March 2005, the magazine ARQUITECTURA E VIDA published the project Auditório e Museu Municipal de Vila Nova de Paiva, produced by PLURAL for the Municipal Council ofVila Nova de Paiva. The author of the architectural Project and general co-ordinator of the project was Arch. Henrique Barros-Gomes, Director of the Architecture Department of PLURAL. The publication of this project gave recognition to the quality of the architectural projects conducted by Plural, and is an incentive to all collaborators of PLURAL.
In ANUÁRIO DE ARQUITECTURA 08, “Edições Caleidoscópio”, published in June 2005, an article was written about this project done by PLURAL. The publication, which is already in its eighth edition, has an annual list of some of the architectural works more relevant to the latest Portuguese architectural work.
^ top REVISION OF THE MUNICIPAL MASTER PLAN OF OLEIROS
In 22/02/2005, PLURAL signed a contract with the Municipal Council of Oleiros for the revision of the Municipal Master Plans (PDM) for the council of Oleiros. With this contract, the total number of revised PDMs are 29, some of which are still being revised.
PLURAL is responsible for the current Municipal Master Plan (PDM) of Oleiros, which was created between 1991 and 1994. The number of PDMs of the “1ª geração” executed by PLURAL is 17.

GENERAL PLAN AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PLAN OF QUINTA DA PALMEIRA, TAVIRA
PLURAL and Pan Atlântica, owner of the Vila Sol development project in Morgadinhos, Vilamoura (including golf, spa, and the 5-star Hotel Vila Sol, member of The Leading Hotels of the World), signed a contract in order to prepare a Master Plan and infrastructural projects for the touristic development project Quinta da Palmeira, Tavira.
Quinta da Palmeira is located near Conceição de Tavira, and the Cabanas and the City of Tavira. It is also near two golf courses which encompass a total of 54 holes.
The land covers about 10 hectares. The proposed programme includes a 1st phase of around 60-70 beds targeted for quality tourism. The 2nd phase includes more beds and other equipments.

DETAILED PLAN OF THE NEAR SURROUNDINGS OF THE RAILWAY STATION OF LAGOS AND OTHER STUDIES
In February 2005, PLURAL signed a contract with Invesfer (Refer) for the execution of the following studies in the city Lagos:
• Detailed Plan of the involving area of the railway track;
• Sector Plan of the dock in Lagos;
• Beach Plan in the western part of Meia Praia.
These studies result from a signed protocol between Invesfer, the Municipal Council of Lagos, the Port and Maritime Transport Institute and the Algarve Regional Development and Co-ordination Commission, following the guidelines of Estações com Vida, promoted by Invesfer.
This agreement resulted in the collaboration of these entities in improving an area in the city of Lagos situated between the train station and the marina, including the fishing dock and Meia Praia. In this sense, PLURAL has prepared a Requalification Project for Invesfer for that area, as well as a Project for the new railway station in Lagos currently under construction.
