Municipal Council of Constância

Background:
Started in 1991 and approved, ratified and published in Diário da República in 1994.

Constância is located in the district of Santarém, near the river Tejo, and in 1991 had a population of about 4.200 inhabitants.

Taking into consideration the potential of the landscape and the optimum conditions for accessibility, this Plan defined the following main objectives:

• the criation of factores of attraction ("pull factores") related to the outdoors;
and keeping the local population;
• the promotion of image of the council, associated to the touristic function.
