REVISION OF MUNICIPAL MASTER PLAN OF BRAGANÇA

Started in January 200. Published in Diário da República on 18 of June 2010.

The council of Bragança is situated in the northeastern extreme of Portugal Continental and, with 49 parishes, is one of biggest in the country.

This plan has the following objectives:

- Reinforce the image of the city of Bragança as a space of innovation, regional pole, as an international link, centre of support services and commercial and cultural centre;
- Consolidate the equipments and infrastructure and qualification of public spaces in rural areas, garanteeing not only more competition between these in attracting habitable zones;
- Give economical value to the traditional products and resources of the natural heritage, culture and landscape, promoting the exploration of the potential endogenous energies.
