REVISION OF MUNICIPAL MASTER PLAN OF GUARDA

Background:
Plan in revision since June 2002.

The council of Guarda has a geo-strategic location thanks to the main poles of attraction generated by Raia Central and the axes of communication at a national and even international level, which puts it in a favourable position for the flows of goods and people.

The revision of this Plan promotes a strategic development for the prominent council of Guarda in a regional and national context with the following guiding principles:

- Development of the internal and external accessibility;
- Integration, maagement and preservation, in a sustainable manner, of the natural resources;
- Preservation of the existing heritage;
- Reprogramming of equipment networks;
- Promoting joint or fixed private and public initiative;
- Promoting the qualification of human resources;
- Stimulating local economy, especially in the tourism sector.
