Background: Project: 1991/-92. Construction finished in 1994.

The Project of the Library is integrated in the Rede Nacional de Bibliotecas Públicas (RNBP) Program of the Portuguese Institute of Books and Libraries. As an addition to the Library, an Auditorium was projected, with a capacity for around 200 people.
Since its inauguration, in 1994, this building has received positive feedback from the majority of the population of Proença-a-Nova, especially the young population, stating it as one of the main attraction poles of the Village.
