Background:
Urban Development Project licensed in 2003 and executed in 2004/05.

The area of intervention has around 2,2 hectares and correspondes to an urban expansion area of the city of Portalegre included in the Detailed Plan of Assentos.

The development area benefits from a good location and an optimum position for sun exposure, and is situated near one of the entrance axis of Portalegre and adjacent to the Neighbourhood of Assentos. The most difficult aspects in regards to the use of the land relates to its topography, which is very steep and has a small river flowing through it, and the accessibility of the main roads in defining a technical urban drawing

In terms of the urban planning, this consists of ten parcels designated to collective accommodation and one parcel designated to single-house accommodation, in a total of 85 residential buildings.
