This coastal section is situated in the council of Cascais, between the Cidadela de Cascais and the Forte de S. Julião da Barra, in an extension that stretches 10 kilometers, with a predominantely urban characteristic.

This Plans objective was to safeguard and strengthen the number of coastal subsystems and provide and stimulate the set of activities which provide, in this coastal section, a great social and economical boost.
