MASTER PLAN AND EXECUTION PLANS OF DOCK OF OLHÃO

Plan carried out in consortium with:
HIDROPROJECTO, S.A. e BIODESIGN, Lda

Background:
Project finished in 1998.
Part of the maritime, landfill and exterior arrangements were constructed in Phase 1.

Olhão is priviledged to be located in Algarve's coastline.

The project is to be done in two phases:

• Phase 1, with the capacity for 220 vessels (under construction);
• Phase 2, with the capacity for 150 more.

All necessary infrastructure for a construction of this scale are expected in this project. The adopted technical solution was based on the utilisation of breakwaters and floating platforms.
