Background:
Published in Diário de República on 23 of October 2008.

The area of intervention has around 9 hectares and correspondes to an urban area of expansion of Vila de Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo included in its urban perimeter.

The objectives of this revision of the Detailed Plan derive from a change in the expectations of the Municipal Council in regards to the soil usage defined in the previous plan; the appropriateness of the urban indices of the Urban Plan (PU) of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo; and finally, in meeting and fulfilling some commitments layed down by the authorities and individuals.
Apart from these initial objectives, the Plan must also generously contribute to the better quality of the environment and the urban area within its area of intervention.
