Started in March 2008. Prior Information Requests approved on 28 of May 2009.

Herdade da Alápega with 713ha, is situated in the municipal of Alcácer do Sal, next to the village of Santa Susana and the Pego do Altar dam, around 15 minutes of the city of Alcácer do Sal, in the road to Montemor-o-Novo.

The project of Alápega consists of 2 hotels, 10 turistic villages, a golf club and golf course, a centre of health and well-being, an equestrian centre, an agricultural centre, a nautical centre and also a commercial and resturant centre.

The following aspects are the most relevant:

- Very low occupation density (global construction indice of 0,017, or 1,7%);
- Maximum area of construction: 171.000m2;
- Number of touristic beds: 3.519;
- Number of units of touristic accomodation: 880, of which 170 hotel bedrooms and 710 units in touristic villages.
