Background:
Published in Diário de República on 25 of February 2009.

The area of intervention has 1.527 hectares and encompasses the city of Bragança, the capital of the district of the same name, with a population of around 20.000 inhabitants.

This Plan intends that the expansion of the urban area is done in a sustainable and harmonious manner, establishing a direct connections with its environment, in particular the natural surrounding areas, which form 26,6% of the total area of intervention afecting the urban ecological structure (407 ha).
